The Grundfos SEG range of submersible grinder pumps is purpose-built for pressurised sewage systems, grinding untreated sewage and effluent into fine particles for transfer through small-bore DN40/DN50 rising mains. Cast iron EN-GJL-200 construction, a patented grinder system, SmartTrim impeller clearance adjustment and a cartridge-type SiC/SiC double mechanical shaft seal ensure reliable, low-maintenance operation, with 0.9-4.0 kW two-pole motors in 1x230 V and 3x415 V, 50 Hz versions and optional AutoAdapt level control. Applications include pressurised sewage transfer for villas and small communities without gravity sewers, hotels, restaurants and resorts, farmhouses, hilly and rocky terrain, and light industrial wastewater containing fibres.
